Thyroidectomy Pre-op Counseling

Linda Foster is a 47-year-old female presenting with pre-operative counseling for thyroidectomy. About three months ago, I noticed a lump on the right side of my neck while putting on a necklace. My GP felt it and sent me for an ultrasound, which showed a 2. 8 cm nodule in the right lobe of my thyroid. Your task is to take a focused history from this patient.
