Statin Initiation Counseling

Frank is a 58-year-old male presenting with discussing starting statin therapy after recommendation from previous doctor. My previous doctor retired last year and before he left, he told me I should really start a statin because my cholesterol has been creeping up and I have some other risk factors. I've been putting it off because honestly, I've heard a lot of scary things. My neighbor was on a statin and he said it made his muscles hurt so bad he could barely get out of bed.
