Intimate Partner Violence Screen

Maria Santos is a 32-year-old female presenting with fell down stairs, left arm pain. 32-year-old female presents with left forearm pain after reportedly falling down stairs this morning. On further questioning, this is her third fall in 2 months. Appears nervous, avoids eye contact. The patient's injuries are inconsistent with the stated mechanism. Interview the patient alone. Screen for intimate partner violence with compassion and patience.
