Informed Consent for Cholecystectomy

Karen Mitchell is a 38-year-old female presenting with pre-operative informed consent discussion for laparoscopic cholecystectomy for symptomatic cholelithiasis. Over the past six months, I've had four episodes of really bad pain in my upper right abdomen, usually after eating fatty or greasy food. The pain comes on about 30 minutes to an hour after eating and lasts for a few hours. It radiates to my right shoulder blade. Your task is to take a focused history from this patient.
