Benzodiazepine Taper Counseling

Carol is a 58-year-old female presenting with on lorazepam 1mg three times daily for 8 years; new physician recommending taper. I've been taking lorazepam for about 8 years now. My old doctor, Dr. Peters, prescribed it when I was going through a really bad time - my husband had a serious car accident and I was having terrible anxiety and panic attacks.
